Health, Wellness and other Delivery Sites

Now that it’s suggested that everyone stay at home and practice social distancing (when possible), it leaves many to wonder how to continue with day- to- day activities and how to adjust your routine to be more cautious. Below is a list of local businesses that are available for delivery, pick- up or mail order items.

HARP’S grocery store- they now offer delivery and pickup at most locations (call ahead to be sure your location offers these services). You can place your order online or download their app and place the order on there. You’re able to select a day and time for pickup or delivery, and your groceries are then delivered right to your front door or to your car in the designated parking spot. Easy peasy!

Walmart- offers same day grocery pick up as well. When you log on to the Walmart Grocery App (or order online), you can specify organic ingredients, a particular brand  and/or exact amount of something (exp: 5 red Fuji apples). A personal shopper will pick out the freshest foods for your online order, and then you just pull into the designated parking area at your pre- arranged time, and an associate will load the car for you. You pay for your order before you pick up (you can also use your SNAP EBT card), and Walmart offers a 100% money back guarantee. The best part about this service is that you’re able to use it to stock up on items other than food- all your everyday essentials  (exp: laundry detergent, pet supplies, paper towels etc.) are included in this one stop shopping experience.

Mountain Home Express- this is a local delivery service. The service will pick up food from any restaurant, household supplies, medications from the pharmacy etc., and deliver to your house for a $5.00 fee (the fee goes up to $10 if you’re in Salesville, Henderson, past the Pigeon Creek bridge etc. Check out their Facebook page or call them at 501-510-0403.

Pharmacies- all pharmacies are still open for curb side pick- up, but quite a few of them in our area offer delivery of medications as well. Some are restricted to staying within the city limits and may have a delivery fee, so be sure to contact the pharmacy of choice ahead of time to ask these questions.

·      All Care Pharmacy (870-425-5145)- offers delivery and also has a drive through window.

·      Medi Save Pharmacy (870-424-4010)- offers delivery of medications within city limits, and also has a drive through window. During the COVID-19 pandemic, the pharmacy is also offering to mail your prescriptions to you (keep in mind that you’ll need to account for a few days to get to you).

·      Heartland Pharmacy (870-425-2221)- offers delivery within city limits.

· Walgreens in Mountain Home has a drive through window.

· Genuine Care in Gassville has a drive thru window.

The Mountain Home Police Department is offering a free pick- up and delivery service for senior citizens (must be aged 65 and older) during the COVID-19 pandemic. Groceries and medications can be delivered within city limits Monday- Friday between 9:00am- 5:00pm. The police department asks that you place and pay for your medication and groceries prior to calling the police department for the delivery. The number for the police department is: 870-425-6336.

Hopefully some of this information is able to help make your day-to-day activities a bit easier during our temporary new normal.

Be well!
